Security Door & Grill Enfield
The door here, deceptively, leads to a massive area under a viaduct. The door that was on the area had exposed locks, been vandalised several times and eventually, so badly, the door could not be opened and the area could not be accessed.
The old door was removed and fitted with a higher security door installed. A very heavy duty security door gate c/w integrated lock, making access to the lock and vandalism impossible was then installed.
The area will now be safe and accessible at all times.
Roller Shutters Enfield
To protect this amazing structure and its heritage, many years ago, a very heavy mesh cage structure was fitted to the Bandstand. The mesh was so heavy, it took 2-3 members of staff a day to remove it and a day to put it back up.
Thanks to a Funding initiative through Enfield Council Parks Dept, we were able to fit ‘see through Roller Shutters’, which lift up and go down at a turn of a key. Whilst fitting the shutters, all the lights were changed for efficiency to LED’s, an on/off/timer system was installed.
Pathway Construction Stone
As part of the local Parish Council improvement scheme to the park, one of the paths was old and in need of replacing and one of the paths, following local development, was created to allow access into the park via a new entrance.
The project involved excavating out of the old path, supply and install new haunched edgings, supply and install new based and lay a base course and wearing course of tarmac. As part of the improvement works, the Parish Council wanted to improve the lighting in the park and as the path was laid, ducting and collars for new lighting were installed to accommodate the new lights. When the works were complete, the area was landscaped, with soil graded to the path level.
Enfield – Anti Climb Security Fencing
This fence is along a river, beside an abutment wall. The area was over grown, the fence was dilapidated, and the abutment could not be inspected.
The old fence was removed, cutting back of trees and vegetation took place, 1 mtr back from the abutment wall. For safety, a new anti-climb fence was erected c/w large access gate into the area. Other works included stump grinding, stump poisoning and reinstatement of the tarmac path in numerous areas.
This area is opposite a school and was prone to dumping, the area is now opened up, inspections can take place, dumping has stopped, regular maintenance can now take place, parking is easier and the new fence has made the area safe along the water.
Reading, Hospital Site – DDA Compliant Ramps & Decking
Working with the Reading Hospital, 3No. courtyards were in need of the ramps changing to make them accessible for all and multiple users. In two of the courtyards, a non-slip composite decking area c/w a DDA compliant ramp was built the full width of the courtyard and now accommodates multiple user and great access for free flow to the outside.
One of the concrete ramps was extended to make it DDA compliant without assistance, to aid ease of use for all patients.
